The Races and Resources of Landover

Humans and their Settlements:

Human Settlements are the most commonly occupied by the Order, and as such are some of the richest trading hubs of Landover, excluding the Underfoot of Underway. They are also the most racially diverse, although all of them have an over 50% human population.

These Settlements will almost always have access to scrolls, staves, potions, head and glove slot wondrous items, and any miscellaneous non-magical devices a traveler could ask for. While it is possible to find enchanters, wands, spell tomes, monster and magic manuals and even some rings and special armors, there are better places to find these special order items for cheaper.

Elves and their Glades:

Elven Glades are some of the most remote places on Landover, with an over 90% elf population in each. They are a proud people, and if not for the leader of the Order of the Light being an old elf himself, many speculate they would not bow to the Order at all. Still, they understand the power the four races hold when standing together against the Spawn, and reluctantly work alongside the hard headed dwarves, curious halflings and brash humans.

These Glades will almost always have access to wands, spell tomes, monster and magic manuals, headbands and neck slot wondrous items, and any religious text or items in question, even those relating to the Chantry. While it is possible to find wands, scrolls, and some wondrous items, there are better places to find these special order items for cheaper.

Dwarves and their Dwarfhomes:

Dwarven Dwarfhomes are very well fortified cities built almost entirely underground. They are not well lit, and any travelers who are not as adapted to dark environments are encouraged to bring magical light sources, as it is too dark to see and torches smoke to greatly for the enclosed halls of stone.

These Dwarfhomes will almost always have access to Light Oil, non-magical items, belts and shoulder slot wondrous items, and masterwork items. They also house at least two enchanters each. While it is possible to find potions, there are better places to find these special order items for cheaper.

Halflings and their Underfoots:

Halfling Underfoots are usually passed up for being so well blended with the hills they are built from, with the exception of the rather garish trading hub, Underway. Despite being built for the halflings who reside there, Underfoots can be traversed and indeed lived in quite comfortable by the larger races, as long as they remember to duck at the door. Underway, however, is built to more closely resemble a Settlement on a festival day, although the houses are still built inside hills.

These Underfoots will almost always have access to any small-sized weapons and armor, wondrous items and rings. Underway also has access to medium-sized weapons and armor. While it is possible to find potions, tools, wands, and non-magical items, there are better places to find these special order items, although Underway has them at a modest, yet still more expensive, price.
