The Guilds of Landover

The Stripe of the Augment (Blue)

You belong to the Augment if you are a bard (who is not an imposter), a barbarian (with a rage other than battle-rage), or an arcane spell caster of any kind.
The Augment was the first founded of the four guilds. Made up mostly of powerful casters and trained spell-swords, the Augment acts as the enforcers of law across Landover. They have the ability to perform arrests, and the ability to perform executions if given the authority by an agent of The Order of the Light.

The Stripe of the Dawn’s Eyes (Red)

You belong to Dawn’s Eyes if you are a Monk, a divine spell caster (that does not belong to the Order of the Light), or any Lawful class without spells (that doesn’t belong in Death’s Gaze).
The Dawn’s Eyes were founded to oversee the Augment, but that left when they integrated with the Order of the Light. Now, the Dawn’s Eyes are the spreaders of the law across Landover. They have the ability to perform search and seizures, and the ability to pass lawful judgment in the absence of an agent of the Order of the Light.

The Stripe of Death’s Gaze (Green)

You belong to Death’s Gaze if you are a rogue, an Inquisitor, a ninja, a gunslinger, a non-Lawful ranger, a druid (only if you are an elf or human), or any non-Lawful class without spells.
Death’s Gaze was founded as a covert organization, but made their presence and influence on Landover, mostly in the eastern regions, known when they integrated into the Order of the Light, bringing their operations more into the law. They have the ability to commandeer transportation, to quarter lodging, or to access otherwise restricted areas, as long as they are accompanied by local authorities and an agent of the Order.

The Stripe of the Order of the Light (Gold)

You belong to the Order of the Light if you are a Cleric, Oracle or Paladin.
The Order of the Light was founded to oversee the Augment and the Dawn’s Eyes. It also took in the overseeing of Death’s Gaze, once made aware of their presence on Landover. The Order of the Light oversees the distribution of squadrons in times of war and turmoil, and adventuring parties in times of peace. These parties of five or six individuals usually consist of one member of Death’s Gaze, one to two members of the Augment, two to three members of Dawn’s Eyes, and only ever one member of the Order. They have the ability to grant authority and orders to members of their parties and squadrons, but not to carry these operations out themselves.
